Had a fantastic hunt yesterday. We split up early with no luck but met up around 9:00 and regrouped. We moved to a new area together and set up to cold call. They've hunted quite a bit and their dad is wanting them to get used to setting up on their own, so we sat about 30 yards behind them, me calling and him filming. The first series on the box was answered from the cypress swamp. It took about 30 minutes for two beautiful turkeys to come gobbling through the timber. 13 and 15 year old brothers, sitting beside each other against a tree in the open timber, left to their own devices on when to move and when to shoot let them walk left to right 30 yards away until they were standing 20 yards away and right down their barrels. They need to practice their "1, 2, bang" work a little though. One boy shot first and the other missed the other turkey as he spooked from the shot. They didnt get the double but it's a hunt I wont soon forget.
