Think I'll call him "Bullet Hole "

Second year history with this buck . The first year included a rushed shot through some thick stuff that apparently deflected and resulted in the affor mentioned bullet hole . I can't believe he survived , this is the first picture I have of him after last year .

It was also out of a treestand . But my thoughts were the same as yours when I first saw it .

A few drops of blood and white hair was all that we found after the shot last year also .

What was the distance of the shot? I suspect the steep angle and resulting bullet travel is what saved him, especially considering little blood and white belly hair that you speak of. Good luck with him this fall.

I bet the downward angle was so sharp that the shot was just a grazing shot and didn't touch the gut. Better luck this year.

Thanks for your highly useful post . And without having any information . I already said it was a rushed poor shot . What I didn't say , was the scope also had a broken reticle after I went back to camp and shot it 11 times trying to get it to hold a zero . Several people on this site can confirm that .

This is why a lot of people do not post here anymore , and the main reason I have pretty much stopped . The atmosphere around here sucks now .

Some who themselves have a great sense of humor have a hard time relating to those who don't, or may not realize someone is particularly sensitive about a particular subject. When I read that "shooting sucks" comment from the poster, I didn't take it as something meant to be serious, but perhaps I was wrong.

If it will make you feel any better, sometimes my shooting sucks, too. :tu:

When that is all that is said , to me it seems to be meant to troll and stir stuff up .
