Always never been a fan of the Mathews focus grip and even worse of a fan of the focus grip. So I did some modification myself. Went to the tennis section at Walmart and got a pack of the Wilson cushion pro grip. Took the wooden one off with a hair dryer and put this on and it feels amazing. I only put one pack on so it would still feel comfortable in the valley of my hand.

I forgot to add the pic with it last night. Tried it out today and it feels like a different bow. Anybody that shoots a Mathews with wooden grip I highly recommend doing t his. Even if your bow has some vibration this takes all of it out. Even quitened it down more.

So you buy one of the most expensive bows on the market.
And have to remove the grip to put TAPE on it?

HMMMMMMM!!!

Hmmmmmm is what I thought about the idea. Until I tried it.

I put a Hartl Custom grip that I used to have on my DXT on my ZXT. The factory grip was cut out to deep or something. When my palm hit it was like it was to deep and keeping the part in between my thumb & finger from going all the way up against it.

LimbSaver makes a wrap for the grips that will fit any bow. It is a little wider than this one. One version has smooth texture and one version has raised dimples. Works well and made of the same SimLab rubber that their other products are made of.

I use a leg wrapping for horses. You can buy a roll at TSC or any tack supplier for a couple of bucks and one roll will wrap a dozen bows. It is the same type of material that is used to wrap a sprained ankle. It will cling to itself and comes in loads of colors. Great alternatives.

Grip tape for tennis rackets works well , but I prefer to have the bare handle exposed to let my hand settle in to the sweet spot without too much "grip" . :)
