I try not to go listen till 2 weeks before season opens. If I herd them burning the woods down I wouldn't get anything done for a very longtime.

Dang already gobbling? I start every year around the 3rd week of February and never hear my first gobble till Feb 28-March 4.

I heard three gobble for about 45 min Monday morning. Couldn't believe I heard it at first, but kept walking the logging road back and sure enough, same place they were gobbling last year right before season.

Standing on the bank porch now and I've heard 7 gobbles sounds like three different birds still early. Seen a couple long beards behind the house a couple days ago I'd say it's them. Will check other farms within a couple of weeks. Will update as I check.

Didn't hear anything here off the porch. Been seeing 4 longbeards just about everyday all winter. There's a flock of hens about a mile down the road and noticed a longbeard had moved in on them in the past week

Heard hens and toms from my front porch this morning first time in 8 years! Good to hear them in the southern part of the county.

they'll gobble whenever they want to, usually on warmer days...I usually hear em every year during deer season
