I have never bow hunted or shot a bow. I have always been worried because I have terrible shoulders due to past injury. Not much strength. However, I think I may give it a shot. Just looking for suggestions. What bow would you recommend that is light and easy on the draw. Drawing the bow doesnt seem like it would be the problem as much as holding for a long shot.

get 80% let-off and you are holding practically nothing at full draw. i could make suggestions but the best advice is to shoot as many bows as you can. you will know when you find "the one".

My first recommendation would be to visit a couple of proshops and pick out a couple of bows in your price range . Have them measure your draw length and set the bow up at a comfortable draw weight .
Getting started right with a correctly setup bow that fits your draw length is the key .Don't wait too long if you plan to bow hunt this season . It takes routine practice to become proficient enough to bow hunt .

Try to find someone who knows what they are doing to help you out. Ask around about the pro shops you are thinking about visiting. Some of them can throw a few terms around and make someone who doesn't know any better think they really know their stuff. Just remember, just because they sell bows, it doesn't make them a pro shop.

Yes what stik said get one with a lot of let off, May I suggest a Hoyt cam and a half, they are easy to pull because of 2 cams working together as others use 1 cam and a idler wheel!

Parkers and Diamond bows are really good. The new Diamond by Bowtechs are pretty sweet.

All the new age bows are going to feel great! I shoot a Bowtech and love it.

I missed many years of not bow hunting, becaause of my shoulder problems. That was a huge mistake.

I shoot a Drenalin with 60# limbs.
I like it so much, I only rifle hunt about 2 weeks a season.
Shooting a modern bow, is much easier than you may think.
A lot easier, and more fun hunting than you can imagine.

Just do it.
