Went to the same farm we killed yesterday, and set up where they didn't want to leave from yesterday. Two gobbles great on the roost down the ridge maybe 300 yards away and one gobble the other way down the ridge a couple times, so we were right in between them. The single went down into the bottom field of a neighbors, so we concentrated on the two. They never came nearer to us, so at about 730 after a long quiet spell I took the young man and went to where I thought they were. It was kinda thick getting there, but once we came into the clear a little I called and they both hammered at maybe 75 yards just over a rise! Sat him down immediately and got him ready. Called softly a couple times and scratched the leaves, and heard the drumming and then the safety go off and then...nothing. Still drumming but no shot! I was on the back side of the tree so I couldn't see anything. He was shaking a little from the cold (or maybe the two long beards at 20 yards!) and then I hear the putts ;) . He wasn't sure he had a clear shot so he passed.

Lots of fun still!
