I miss fishing for cats. I fished Santee for them for years. A lot of muscle beds in Lake Marion... deeper water in Moultrie and bumping bottom in the canals. We would fish the old river down near Georgetown a little. Had several 500 pound nights in the flats near Packs Landing. Our normal spot there went from 25 foot in the channel to 3 to 4 foot on top the shell. The cats would cruise there at night looking for an easy meal. Nothing like setting the hook on a 30 or 40 pound blue and having them come out the water like a bass in the shallows. Heck of an explosion!
