This one fooled me

I hooked this crappie yesterday and my immediate thought was, it was a white bass by the way it was pulling. I didn't put a lot of thought to playing it easy...until it came to the top at the back of the boat and I saw the big googly eyes and big ole mouth...and barely hooked. I lipped it and was all smiles! I took some pictures and then decided to weigh it. To my surprise....this fish only weighed .95 lb. Not even a full pound. I said there's no way...zereod them out and tried again. I put it back to fight again but I would have bet $100 that this fish was close to 2 lb. That's a Rapala DT10 in its mouth for size reference.

Yeah they are definitely thin this time of yr. I dont see how you feel them at all on such heavy tackle
