I headed out to squirrel hunt one of my favorite turkey spots this morning. I've had mostly turkeys on the mind with this weather though. Didn't see a single squirrel either. Why is it still 2 months away?

This weather as gotten me pretty excited for the season to start. But suppose to get cold by next week. So back to winter we'll go.

I feel you on the squirrels. I walked 6.5 miles today and saw 3. killed the only one in the first 400 yards. I think the wind had them messed up, but today was as much about scouting for turkey and deer sign as anything.

Had this old boy fly into my yard while I was outside talking to a buddy lol. He crossed the road but hit a fence and really showed his iq trying to cross. 15 minutes or so and he was still there so I walked over and got a pic lol. Sucker had some hooks!
