We normally all my hunts are on video and this is one I would have traded them all for. Wife was feeling sick so she was unable to make it yesterday evening to be my camera person. I hadn't seen anything until the last 20 minutes of day light and I had a doe come out at 30 yards. It looked to be a high lung shot from the way the glow knock looked. The doe instantly hit the ground and just spun in circles, and before I could get the next arrow knocked it some how made it to its feet and went about 10 steps in the woods and I heard it crash again. The rage was doing its job I found piles and piles of blood on the way into the woods. I waited 30 minutes and went in after it. The blood trail was easy for the first 150 yards, but after I found my arrow that was broken off the blood stopped being as good. About 200 yards into the thick stuff I found one big massive pool of blood and not another drop after that. I have no idea what happened and can't believe that a deer could lose that much blood and still be up moving. I looked for it until 10pm last night and never saw anymore sign.

Not trying to be critical but if she had gotten up a couple of times close by, I would have backed out. Plenty cool enough though if you find it early today.

the last pool of blood was probably the last she had i would say she is close to that spot, when i find a good pool of blood and then no more they are usually with in 30yds of that spot

I should have backed out but was a little afraid to because the doe was making loud noises while it running through the woods and I bumped 2 coyotes on the trail and was trying to get to the deer before they did.

I shot a doe last year during bow season waited in stand about 1 hour and started tracking. When I got on blood it was very erratic trail for about 100yrds and when I came up on the deer I bumped coyotes off of it. I felt they had pushed her alot more than she would have went.

X2....I'd say you have a dead deer not too far from that last pool of blood.
