I went out this morning with my daughter since there was no school today. I did some soft tree yelps and waited for the birds to fly off the roost. I was sitting off to the left of my daughter and looking to the left where I expected a gobbler to come in behind us. Sure enough a lone gobbler came in and I spotted coming up from behind us on our left. It was the biggest gobbler that I have call in this year. I could have shot him but let him walk hoping the gobbler would turn to the right and walk in front of my daughter. The gobbler did turn to the right and walked in front of my daughter at about 30 yards. I kept waiting for her to shot but she did not. After the hunt was over for the morning I asked her why she did not shoot; she said the gobbler was walking too fast. Hopefully she will get over that, you never have perfect shot set-ups 100% of the time. It was a good morning to be in the woods with my daughter.
