Timeline for CWD testing results

I cut the nodes out on mine and dropped them in a freezer drop off nearly 4 weeks ago. My test is still pending as well.

I have a doe that was killed Nov 13 still pending
November 24th harvest - recevied results last week.

We got results back on 2 yesterday. One was dropped off Nov 8 but had just missed the weekly pickup. The other one was dropped off on Nov 20. Both left with same processor.
Last year it seemed like 2 weeks was the magic time frame for our deer. We have dropped 2 for testing this year. One was lost or something and the other came back in about 2 weeks. I would think these times slow down with more and more testing with kill numbers and more counties testing.

I'm not sure. I suspect TWRA has a method to the madness based on the location of the deer harvested. I'm sure some counties receive more attention than others.
I'm not in a CWD zone and I had 2 deer killed in September and di not get results til November.
I've turned another deer in Nov 17th and still waiting for results.
Personally, not in a rush, but I understand those of you who are. Let's have grace with our TWRA friends as we fight this awful disease AND they process how many thousands of CWD tests this year??
And I'm thankful I've not seen a significant increase in hunting costs due to all the testing. I can't imagine how much money we're spending on testing alone.

As CWD continues to spread, more people killing deer that are infected. We need a quick and low cost method to detect CWD. Ideally an "at home" test kit would be available within a couple of years.

I killed a doe 11/6, dropped it in the head in the freezer that day or the next got results on Nov 22. Killed a buck Nov 18, sample taken by taxidermist, still waiting. I have noticed deer killed that same day are showing results on twra web site

Just got the results back today on the deer I killed 11-14. Took 4 weeks from when I dropped it off. Not detected.
Killed 2 on 11/29....still pending.

I never got an email to let me know either. Been checking regularly and checked earlier today to find my results were finally in.
