Titans Draft troubles

Lets look at the titans first round draft picks since 2010.

2010, Derrick Morgan,OLB, pick #16, his made 0 pro bowls, 191 Tackles, and 23 sacks. And he may not even be a titan in 2015.

2011, Jack Locker, QB, Pick#8, he made O pro bowls passed for 4,967 yards, TD's 27, INTs 22, He is now retired at age 26 after 4 seasons.

2012, Kendall Wright, WR, pick #20, He has made 0 pro bowls, 215 receptions, 2,420 receiving yards, and only 12 receiving TD's. Probably the best pick out of the last 5 drafts, but he has Averaged only 4 TD's a year. And only had 715 receiving yards last season.

2013, Chance Warmack, Guard, pick #10, 0 pro bowls, Warmack was supposed to be this monster 2 time BCS champ from BAMA! Well he plays on a very bad O-line now and his part of the reason why, he has not played well at all his first two seasons!

2014, Laylor Lewan, Offensive Tackle, pick #11, Lewan played OK has a rookie, he did get hurt and miss a game or two, He also was in some trouble that happened while he was in college. Only time will tell if he was worth taking at #11 pick or not.

I hope who ever the titans get in 2015 at #2 pays off better then these last 5 guys.
 
I think Kendall would be and will be a lot better with a better qb and decent oline.
 
Lets go back to the 2009 Draft, were the titans picked WR kenny britt at #30,

He played in Nashville from 09-13 were he caught 19 TDs, had less then 2,500 receiving yards, and only 157 catches. And 0 pro bowls

They have not drafted a player in the first round, who has made a pro bowl In the last 6 drafts, 2 of the players they have drafted in the first round in the last six years are no longer titans. And another (Derrick Morgan) is a free agent at the moment so if the titans don't resign him 3 outta the last 6 titans first round draft picks will no longer be titans amazing.
 
I think it all started really going down hill when they drafted Vince Young.
 
I place the blame on the GM when it comes to personnel, although Webster has been there three years and looks like the drafting woes go back several years before he arrived. Came from the Seahawks before Carroll and their current GM (I.e. Webster became available when Paul Allen decided he wanted his Seahawks to get good). Beyond the first round woes, Webster's and the prior GM's second and later round picks don't seem to have worked out well either and the free agent signings have fallen flat.

yes. pac man, vince young and chris Johnson. all had character issues in college . terrible picks that cost the organization lots of time
 
Yeah free agent's has been a problem, and the last time the titans drafted a pro bowl player in the first round was in 2008 (Chris Johnson) who only stayed in Nashville 5 year before going to NY and getting shot:/

when it comes to picks outside the first round.

DT, Jurrell casey, seems to be a good player picked up in the 2011 draft 3ed round pick #77

CB, Jason Mcourty, was a very Nice pick way back in the 2009 draft he was a 6th round pick #203

LB, Avery Williamson, had a strong rookie season last year 75 tackles 3 sacks, Not bad for a 5th round draft pick.

And a few guys like Bishop Sankey (2ed round pick) Zach Mettenburger (6th round pick) And Justin Hunter (3ed round pick) will have a real Nice chance to prove themselves in 2015.

But the titans last 6 first round picks including 2 top 10 picks (Jack locker) and ( Chance Warmack) have not looked good or played good at all.

I hope Sankey gets another shot, although he didnt wow last year. I think he needs one more year. Hunter will be fine. I hope Mettenberger will as well. I wish they could mariota, although at this point I would be surprised if anyone other than the eagles land him
 
Yeah hope Sankey comes out strong next season, He may have not been a first round pick, But he was yhe first HB off the board in the 2014 draft. And people expected a lot from him as a rookie.
 
I agree titans have made some bad 1st round choices. I think both Lewan and Wormack will have standout year in 2015. I expect the titans to strengthen the offensive line in the 3rd or 4th. I strongly belief Wright will have a much better year, with Harry Douglas just added in free agency and Hunter coming back healthy, I think we will have a strong receiving core. Hope they bring back Nate too! Draft is full of great receivers too for our Veteran Nate to take under his wing.Now let's talk 2nd round pick. I hope they go with leonard Williams. Added Searcy and Arakpo in free agents this year, resigned Morgan this morning too. Bringing in Parrish Cox today too to help McCourty in the corners. We need Cox badly! But Williams would be awesome to bring into our defense line. Titans defense is shaping up very nicely for this year, add Williams to that threat! I think Zach will be better this year and Sanky too. That's what rebuilding is about. And so far I am impressed with what they are doing in free agency, and I think it will carry over to the draft also. BTW, GO TITANS! Great to have Morgan back, and Orakpo will be a beast! Perrish Cox, if you read tndeer, the titan fans would love to have you on our team! If our boys can stay healthy, I see playoffs in our future.But Indy is gonna be tuff now that they got Gore! BTW, hope they take a QB in draft also, whitehurst is not even a good backup! I wouldn't mind Bryce Petty if he holds out til late in draft.
