Wasn't sure about him at first, but the national guys really like him. I guess if he stays healthy, it may be a pretty good setup, but at 36 years old, thats a BIG IF!

I think it was a good move, He is still pretty good and is a real good mentor for Locker on and off the field, they only need him for a year maybe two then Locker will take over.

The future is not bright!! I am a big titans/vol fan, but from the management standpoint of the titans , they have screwed up in every way possible!! It will probably get better because i cant see it geetting worse , I really believe if we win 2 games this year we will be lucky and it will have to include CJ!! Im being very serious, this will be the worst team we will have seen in nashville!!

2 games??? are you a betting man? ;)

Honestly, who inside of their division will they beat?? Jacksonville may be the only one and I will tell you we are not that good. Did you watch any games last year?? Our defense is awful and they let babin and brown go and not made any moves. You are highly optimistic and have nothing to base this optimism off of. Except for Chris Johnson and their best receiver will probably be suspended for 4-6 games. You think offensive production WAS bad, wait till this year buddy. I can't think of one team that has all the signs pointing to a 0-16 year more than the titans. I love them but also am a realist. If you have any reasons let me know and tell me which games/teams we will win/beat because I just don't see it

All he said was, would you like to bet that they won't win more than 2 games. I would hardly call that "highly optimistic".Lol

Also, ... only have Chris Johnson? First of all, that's a pretty good "only" to have... but with an experienced Qb, and a stud TE in Jared Cook, they do have a couple of more weapons, although I agree that the defense is looking pretty rough.

So are you a betting man, cause with Jacksonville (2x), St. Louis, Denver, Cleveland, Cincinnati, Minnesota, Carolina, Buffalo all scheduled this year??? How much we betting?

I never bet, but really ... "only CJ" doesnt cut it in the NFL, im sorry but if you think the Titans are gonna hand the ball to cj 35+ times a game and win your wrong. You say experienced QB huh??? a 36 year old that was basically cut along with WHO to catch the ball??? Im sorry but you guys are forgetting an inexperienced ,new coaching staff and team along with NO offseason and no stability anywhere in the organization.. remember last season with everyone settled in we were lucky to win 6 games?? You must only watch titans games because st louis will never know our defense is on the field ,they are better than us in almost every position except RB and Sjackson is no slouch!!! MInnesota will freakin drill us man.. who are you kidding , their skill positions make us look like a high school team . I really dont think we will beat jacksonville both times and will be lucky to steal more than one between denver, cleveland and cinci!! Dont get me wrong i know i soundd like i hate my team , but im not gonna build something up that i know is not there. We have had alot more talented teams/coaches in the past and only won 4-6 games and some of those years we were one of the better teams in our division. Bud adams will never do what the patriots/steelers/eagles and other good teams (year in and year out) will do which is set your team on a foundation of good veeterans and fill holes with the draft. Instead he wants to try and draft and get the budget free agents. He only finds a diamond about once every 7 years in the draft the rest are mediocre at best, although i do like the kid out of montana last year...tons of upside to his athleticism

You honestly think they will win 9 games??? I will meet you in the middle and say if they win 4-5 i will be pleasantly surprised, but no way they go anywhere close to .500. if they do you make sure you remind me and i will dig my foot out of my mouth...lol i like some good debates so lets keep it going , im not trying to be rude because everyone has their own opinions and i respect all of yours and enjoy hearing them!!

I didn't say I think they will win 9... I was just saying, with those teams, they are sure to win more than 2. I would probably put the over/under at 6.

I watch way more football than I should, largely because I am addicted to fantasy... As far as St. Louis, I personally think Bradford will have a sophomore slump and S.J. is getting pretty injury prone these days. I don't think their offense will have as much zip this year, but I could be wrong. A lot of people think Bradford is the real deal. And Minnesota??? I have to give you a good NFL Monday night football C'MON MAN! They went 6-10 last year... they just shipped off Sidney Rice and they are starting Macnabb who last year had a career high INT's and career low TD's, not to mention getting benched by the Redskins for 3 games and he's yet to pass a Minnesota physical....

As far as the Offseason fiasco, don't forget...NONE of the 32 teams had a offseason and ALL of them have made personnel changes. So it stands to reason that there will be sloppy football across the board.

I agree with you on Bud and the organization. I love my team, but hate it's approach to football from the top down.

Make no mistake... I am not optimistic about this season at all... I'm just saying winning 2 games is not "highly optimistic" and even though i don't bet, if someone's setting the over/under at 2, with THAT schedule... then I'm all in cause Daddy needs a new pair of shoes.

LOL... but minnesota still has a defense we cant touch along with better skill players. The same can be said of hasselbeck as mcnabb . Our coaching change with the exception of dc will hurt us. Im hoping im dead wrong and have to eat crow , i just dont see a new coaching staff along with no offseason and the lack of good players panning out for us. Seriously, think about it... who besides CJ will really make a difference for the TITANS on either side of the ball?? And in turn having little to no passing game (same as the previous couple seasons)will only hinder CJ , that is if he doesnt hold out all year!!! He will hold out until he gets paid like d'angelo williams of carolina.

I wasn't implying they would go .500 or make the playoffs or anything like that. Considering the vegas odds on the titans win total over/under is 6.5-7...2 games? C'MON man. They have made some decent moves no one has mentioned that they added Barret Ruud one badace tackling machine. As far as CJ goes I'm a believer that he is CLOSE to being done in the NFL shelf life of a running back of his size and ability is SHORT. Didn't mention Javon Ringer I'm a fan of his and believe he has improved vastly.

Are the Titans going to suck...more than likely yes
Are they going to win more than 2 games...money in the bank baby I want a new Elite Bow

I was an advocate of javons also but after watching him his speed leaves alot to be desired!! CJ done??? He hasnt ever really beeen hit yet!! As long as he keeeps his step and keeps avoiding the big hits , he will have many more years in the nfl. Even the RB's that get pounded week in and week out are averaging 7-10 years and CJ never really gets blasted!! I dont look at vegas odds unless im playing the cards, unless this coaching staff comes in and does wonderful things ... which i doubt , the titans will be lucky surpass a 2 in the win column!! you can almost bet at least 5 losses to the colts, texans and jags!! That leaves 11 non divisional games and there wasnt but a couple teams that were worse than the titans last year and i bet we dont play them!! As far as RUUD goes, 1,2 or 3 good players dont make a team, will having more good players than the other team help you beat them... YES. But which teams out there do the titans have better players in a majority of the positions?? Like i said... I hope im wrong by a long shot, but apparantly you guys didnt watch last season?? And we will be alot worse team than we were last season. No off,def line whatsoever or at least they didnt show up last year, no def backs except lil verner from ucla ( i really like him) the other dbs are pathetic compared to other starters in the league! offeense is just as bad with the exception of CJ,britt and cook. offensive line is decent and qb is yet to be determined in a new system!! Who knows until the season starts we wont know what anyone has!!

I'm done...some folks you just can't talk sports with sometimes. I'll revisit this when they pick up their 3rd win only for a told you so. Also the offensive line is a little more than decent actually top 5 in the league

Your exactly right.. you can't talk it with people who have no clue..... They may win 3 or 4 but you give no reason other than they picked up one or two players.
It's alright to be an optimist but at least give some good reasons to support your belief. Top 5 offensive line may be right but when you can't throw the ball and the defense is stacking 8-9 in the box ,what are they gonna do?? Throw it to mate Washington or Justin gage?? And the defense is horrible . Even in the 13-3 year in 08 the d was one of the worst in giving up yardage. They just got turnovers is what saved them!! Now with that being said I haven't seen a single practice /game. And when I do I will let you know how I feel then and if I feel like they are better than I expect I will be the first to say that you might be right. And change how I feel about the titans. But for now, till the coaching staff proves themselves along with a team that is all out of whack , I will stand by my assessment. I will say it again, I hope I'm wrong and we win every game. So instead of calling me out and basically saying I don't know what I'm talking about why don't you elaborate and give specific reasons as to why I'm so wrong!!??

Top 5 huh???
http://www.musiccitymiracles.com/2011/7 ... ck-in-2010
Ranked 29th out of 32 teams for the 2010 season.
And most of the nfl guys are saying they will be a 4-5 win team, and alot of that will be dependent upon the coaching staff and how well hassalbeck runs things, so a couple turnovers or field goals either way could swing them from a 2 win team to a 7 win team, we will have to wait and see!

They didn't look half bad... Pleasantly surprised.. if cj comes back , I will be digging my foot out of my mouth!! That being said ,its just preseason and if you could put any stock in that ,the colts wouldn't win but 4 games every year and the lions would have won 3 super bowls!!

matt is still a smart q.b. they will do much better with him than that drama queen.
