Here is the video from Tom #4 today.
Not as good a footage as some I've recorded but I did manage to get my Kill shot 8 yards or less. I was so nervous that I would miss him. Kill is around the 6 minute mark then the rest is me rambling [emoji4]
Hope you guys enjoy it.
Sorry it's not imbedded don't know how to do that with Tappatalk.

I had to work this morning but watching your video was almost as good as being there myself.......almost. Congratulations I really enjoyed it.

I committed to getting my shot on film this morning and it cost me the bird in a sense.....made extra movement to get bird in frame then rushed the shot and had my first miss on a bird at 25 yds......I was pretty bummed just hope I didn't wound it and missed cleanly

That's a bummer. Hopefully you will get another chance at him

Great hunt, and there's a bunch of good lessons for folks to pick up as well. Imo one of the keys to killing lots of turkeys is understanding what's fixing to go down and adjusting as it unfolds. Also, love the limited calling, most hunters would be duped into wearing it out.

Congrats, good hunt. Mine got blown up this morning by a dude playing Mary had a little lamb on a crow call in the twilight all the way to the roost. Took all I had not to throttle him! Had to be out by 9:30, only bird I heard all morning.

Thank you. In the last few years I've tried to limit my calling and I have been much more successful. In years passed I would get caught up in making them gobble. I think I've caught on to do just enough to get them to me.

I killed both of my birds this year by calling very sparingly. I drove the first one crazy by going silent on him so he came looking gobbling even more. There are always situations that may require more calling, but if he's headed my way, I'm not saying anything. A lot of times, it's do you want to kill a turkey or hear him gobble but not come in because you over called. I am pretty much a self taught turkey hunter, but the best advice that I got years ago before I started was to learn when to call or not and to not over call.
