todays weather

Lot of variables. I remember bowriter really stirring the pot about hunting in the rain one opening weekend. :D

Do you have a buck patterned you want to kill or are you hunting does?

I bowhunt in the rain if conditions are right, meaning:

- I know the land well or whomever I'm hunting with knows it well. You're liable to end up with a body search and not a blood trail.
- Bucks are cruising and I'm not meat hunting for does. I'm not hunting in the rain if the bucks aren't moving. Not worth it to me. I'll do it in November, but right now I don't have any camera or visual evidence that makes me want to sit in the rain thinking I have a good chance for a buck.
- It's cold out. That way if I can't make a fast recovery the deer won't spoil.
