I'm thinking about going tomorrow morning. With the cold front/storms coming through, do you think it will effect hunting tomorrow?

Chances are they are going to be dying to get out to plum and strut after getting soaked all day today.

here in middle tennessee they will gobble alot on the roost but as soon as they hit the ground there done id say there still henned up here pretty bad :(

Here at the house was dead all weekend. BLASTED a hammerhead at around
11am Tuesday.He came into a stripmine with a buddy.Worked him about
20min they both where hot.I did not locate them with a turkey call. They cranked up by there selfs.Save the calling for later on when the hens are nesting.

I've noticed the same thing. Last weekend here in East Tn was the first time we heard alot of gobbles on the roost. We are hunting Sequatchie county tomorrow and have still not heard a gobble there.

Plan on being out there tomorrow. It is suppose to be clear and a little cool. Should be a great morning.

I talked to two buddies of mine today and both said they're hearing birds on the roost and then again between 9:00-10:00. They both hunt Rutherford county in different parts of the county.

Same in Western Fayette Co. so far, but I did see a few hens in groups of 2-3 birds toward the mid portion of the week. Then again, I saw a group of 10-12 hens with a couple of gobblers in tow go to roost together late Tues night.

Shoot yeah. It poured all night and stopped at four birds should be hot and ready to rumble after their long shower
