Tomorrow morning

If I do go I'll have to bring the pop up blind and set on the field where I saw em this morning. Not sure yet if I'll go or sleep in.

I sat through 1 toad strangler on a draw hunt at Chuck Swan. Never again for me! The thunder gobbling was incredible right up until the rain started though. Wind would just compound it for me. About the only thing I can offer is hunt areas that will be down out of the ridge.

Ditto, wind does not work in your favor when you primarily hunt the woods.
it sucks in the woods. I've covered at least a dozen fields today and seen 3 toms, 5 jakes and a bunch of hens. Can't hear anything coming in the woods and everything is moving.

It's kind of neat hunting a field with high winds, especially when the wind is blowing across from you to the bird. You can see the bird stretch his neck out to gobble but can't hear him in extremely high winds, but he can hear you. He spreads out his fan and the wind blows him around in circles as he makes his approach. I've killed a couple under those circumstances.
