Tomorrow Will Be a Great Day to Scout

After all this rain, tomorrow will be a great day to scout. Lots of saturated ground soft enough for turkeys to leave tracks and enough rain to erase all old tracks and droppings.

The 18 month old lil' one and I should get to sneak away tomorrow afternoon.

I was thinking the same thing about the rain except that I was thinking more along the lines of I will be quiet walking thru the woods should I run into any birds.

Unfortunately I can't make it out there in the morning. Planning for Saturday instead.

It went well. I found what I expected, which was fresh tracks. I also saw one jake by himself.

I'll be out listening before dawn.
