I didn't mind the cold and neither did this guy. I heard him gobbling about 500 yards away just after sunrise. It took me a few minutes, but I got around him and sat down on the back side of a small hill pretty close to where I thought he was. I let out a few yelps and he cut me off. I called once more and shut up. He stared making his way towards me but stopped about 75 yards away and just gobbled and gobbled. I sat there real quiet and still and decided to wait him out hoping he would come looking for the hen. This went on for several minutes and then I purred a little and scratched the leaves beside me. That did the trick and a few seconds later I shot him at 30 yards. Awesome morning to say the least!
