and goes by faster every year. I was done on the 29th of april but I still hate to see the season come to a close. It will help curb the withdrawals by going on a week long fishing trip the day after season closes. But dang, that first bird of the year, the 2 year old with the funny crooked beard, was flopping just the other day it seems. Made some great memories again this year. Already starting to think a little more about deer. But I woke up to a gobbler hammering his head off this morning behind the house. So those who are hunting the last day, it's not over till it's over. Good luck

worst season ever for me. but still a good season I got three people that have never killed a bird on a bird. also got a few other people on birds. all together I saw 7 birds die its weird but I almost like getting people hooked on the sport rather then kill one some days. I did not kill one this year missed two. between mowing season and me switching jobs it was also the least amount ive ever gotten to hunt season I played baseball. hate to let the team done without tagging one may be able to sneak in tomorrow but a pretty full day being that's its mothers day. but some very good birds killed this year very odd year also. for us the first week was lights out minus opening day. birds marching to the gun like crazy and then it shut down big time. some farms didn't even hear or see a bird on and these farms have had turkeys for a very long time a little concerning for me sense the neighbors had the same experience. but I always hate to see a season end but I am sure ready to set 20 foot high in a stand. congrats to all that had a great safe season. like catman said it isn't over til it is over.

Ditto. My grandmother (now 86 years young) told me years ago that the older you get (and the busier you get), the faster time seems to go by. I'd have to agree with her. Enjoy every minute of it (and anything else for that matter) while you have good health and have the opportunity to do so.
