Heck, I don't even like a lens for tournaments. If I still deer hunted, there is no way I would try one for hunting. Like UTGrad said, the low light visibility sucks. I had to finish the Kentucky Pro/Am at "deer thirty" on the Saturday evening and I was SCREWED. I could see the targets with my regular eyes but through the lens...forget it. Not to mention all the up keep to having a lens. I've been a member on this site for a long time and for a number of years we would run a thread where we would log in with our bow kills and the yardages we killed at...then at the end of the season, we'd have the average for the year. I can't ever remember it being over 23 yards. The only reason I shoot a lens now for tournaments is because we shoot further yardages and it helps see spots or score rings at those yardages. If it were just 30 yards or closer...I wouldn't have one at all.
