Got a gift card to bass pro burning a hole in my pocket. QUESTION: What are the TOP 5 items that you would not consider going in the Turkey woods without. (please don't include underwear or bug spray)

obviously excluding basic camo, gun and shells.

1. binos. I will never own another cheap pair as long as i live. I finally got a good pair last year (some Leupold acadias) and man what a difference they make.

2. leafy suit. Not the cheap bass pro version but one that will last a bit longer and is a bit more tough.

3. woodheaven red wasp and copperhead mouth calls

If i have those things i am good to go.

I would say VEST as #1 but they dont sell the vest i have at bass pro (or anywhere at that rate anymore)

Setterman, Great input, thanks! I have a buddy that's been on this site for a while that told me to pay attention to what you had to say! A couple of questions though: Where do you find the Darrin Dawkins Aluminum. I have googled it without any luck. I see a lot of people who have great things to say about it, but no website or distributors. Also, It looks like Billy Yargus is with M.A.D now instead of woodhaven. Are they still making the call your talking about? Links would be helpful if you wouldn't mind. Thanks again!

The woodhaven call can be bought off of woodhaven's website. They have it under clearance items. The Dawkins call has to be ordered from Darrin, he lives in Rock Hill, SC. 411 will get you his phone number

Leafy suit with bug guard material and snake boots every time i go in the spring woods

And if your not a blind hunter,.. a camo unbrella stuffed in the back of your vest is a must this year with the rain

besides that,.. find you a good aluminum call,.. they are louder and cut thru the wind better,.. and in the spring in tn,.. its gonna be windy alot!!

Lightweight and any decoys can be strapped under it. Gets you up off of roots/rocks and is great to keep you from sliding on hilly terrain.
