You guys are killing me. I'm stuck at work today looking at all these kill pics. My son went this morning and had one strutting to the gun double and triple gobbling until 4 hens intercepted him at 60 yards and took him away. I can't take off tomorrow due to mandatory training, but I just took off Tuesday. I'll work Wednesday while it rains then hunt my off days (Thursday, Friday, Saturday). Y'all save some for me. Congrats to all the successful hunters!

Stuck at work here too.

Question... Would you rather be stuck at work, or hunting public land? ;)

Hunting public land as long as I didn't have to burn a vacation day to do it! Don't get me wrong, I'm glad we have public land and I'm glad it works so well for lots of folks. I just have terrible luck with other hunters.

yea it helps knowing a lot of the land so you can move around. Yesterday afternoon I drove all over, finding trucks at all the spots I wanted to go, and finally settled for my old stomping grounds even though a car was parked there. I bumped into the hunters as they were headed out, then had the place to myself. There were sure a lot of people out yesterday. Heard 2 different series of 3 shots in the morning, sounded like me trying to shoot a turkey, lol

Persistence paid off! :tu:
