This is an example of the free enterprise system (capitalism) working.
If there were only a single offering, we would all be paying more for less.
Competition is what makes the free enterprise system sizzle,
creates innovation, and guarantees we get the most for our money.
Compared to only a decade ago,
the trail cam industry has made great leaps in quality, features, and price reductions.
Some have come and gone, others are just getting started, some I have no idea why they're still in business.
Geez, I remember only about 14 years ago paying around $250 for a 1.3 mp Cuddeback digital that was at the time "the cat's meow". A year or two later, the Cuddeback "No Flash" came out for @ $400 ---- total piece of crap by today's standards. Actually, it was a total piece of crap then, too.
And before about 15 years ago, my cams were 35mm film cams, which ironically, could be more reliable (at least until they ran out of film) than many of today's digital cams. Those 35mm film cams cost more than most digitals today, and we spent more on processing film than on the cams! We also spent more on batteries then.
