Does the annual sportsman and lifetime sportsman license cover the Gatlinburg permits?

I believe it does. It covers citico/tellico, but I would still refer to the fishing guide.

No. Special permit required. TWRA DOES NOT STOCK G'burg so a special permit is required inside city limits. Otherwise inside the park a regular trout stamp or sportsman works.

Fishing licenses and permits are not available in the park, but may be purchased in nearby towns or online (links provided by state below). What he said, if you have a sportsman lic then you are good to go.

Sportsman license covers Gatlinburg permit, and all you need in the Smokies is a Tn or NC fishing license.
