Turkey '09

Just would like to have some opinions! How do you feel the '09 Turkey season is/was?? Compared to previous years?
With about 3 weeks of hard hunting, I had one good chance, and I missed. Entirely my own fault. Mised a slam dunk 20 yard shot.
My record is 5 turkeys for 6 years now in TN. Did get one in CO about 3 years ago, so I can still claim 6 for six, LOL. I still greatly enjoyed the hunt, everything worked according to plan except the turkey didn't fall over. Ray

awesome early season. my best ever! 3 down and missed 3 cause my shotgun skills lack.lol
however right now it is tough. heard 1 gobble sat a.m. and probably the same bird with 1 gobble in the evening. didnt ever see a bird.
the last 2 years were tough mostly due to very dry conditions.jmho

It's been great here in middle Tn, 3 birds down in the first week,all came to calling,plenty of gobbling,I'm happy.

Great season for me and my friends/family! I have killed two longbeards and passed on several jakes. My 15 year old nephew has killed jake and a longbeard. I have been with my best friend as he killed two longbeards and my uncle who killed a longbeard! I have heard lots of gobbling and seen lots of turkeys! I can't complain!!!!!!!

it was ok the first three weeks of the season. i called two birds up for first timers and got them their first birds. i havent got one for myself yet, but it aint over with just yet.

Worst one i have ever experienced. Very tough hunting i have killed some but boy it took some work.

Best in years, especially with a late spring.
