Was driving in sevier County this morning and seen a Tom ontop of a hen wearing her out in a field. I guess it is time about a week and half left and we're in the woods. Had anyone seen any signs like this, if so what county?

I'm seeing gobblers with groups of hens in my clover fields. Not sure if they are doing the dirty or not.

Just saw a bunch of hens and at least 5 strutting gobblers about an hour ago in southeastern Williamson co

I've seen an explosion of strutters out the last week now. It won't be long now..............
I'm ready when you are. ;)

Yesterday just down the road I saw probably 15 birds and 4-5 were long beards right by the road. 3 of them were in full strut and it was a beautiful site. Too bad I can't hunt them.

Numbers looking good from what I'm seeing in our area...good year for me to try it with the recurve and ghille suit!

I had a gobbler with two hens behind the house yesterday before the storms. He was strutting his stuff.

seen a tom with a bunch of hens across the street from me. could have been more beards but i couldnt get a visual. i'm fired up

Been 8 mornings in MS and this morning was the first that one wanted to play the game. And 2 more joined in. The loser just couldn't catch a break!

2 more turkeys? Or 2 more hunters? I read it as 2 more turkeys joined in.
2 more turkeys.

Found original bird gobbling on his own about 7:45. He was on top of the next hill and across water. It was going to take me 45 minutes to get around on him, or I could try to call him across. He came! But circled me and got the high ground. About the time I was thinking he may slip away, another bird fired off further behind the bird I was on. Then original bird gobbled. Then two fire back. I couldn't see the action, but could hear them in the leaves. The pair came in and sent the original bird packing down right by me at 33 steps. Got him and the pair was still fired up. They eventually came in as well, both longbeards. Thought they may be jakes at first from the short, choppy gobbles, but nope! I only heard 1 gobble from the roost this morning, super early. Pretty sure it was the pair.

I hate to peak early, but thats going to be one of my best hunts for this season and I plan on hitting a bunch of states! Was very disappointed with the 1 roost gobble and then an hour and a half later all the above happened.

^^ Congrats! If I know turkeys are there, I prefer minimal roost gobbling, especially on public ground. Silence can save you a lot of headache from other hunters. Thanks for sharing.
