Heavyweight 7sare going to give the best option if your willing to pay the money. Imo it's more the worth it for the 20g

Yes i know the federal heavyweights are the best shooters in the 20 gauge. Im really lookn for some good lead shot patterns, i just hope my new gun patterns good when it gets warmer to shoot.

actually a very good choice out of a 20g if lead is what you are wanting to shoot. Had a very good pattern out to 35-40yds in my 20.

What choke tube and shot size

I use a primos tight wad. This is a ported choke tube which is from what I read is not the best choice with the flight control wad.However two dead birds and two shots later it works for me. I shoot number 6 shot. I shoot turkey head targets got over 40 in the head and neck area at 35yds.

I killed one at a range that I will not disclose for fear of rabid turkey hunters burning at the stake (it was accidently beyond 40) with federal premiums (lead w/ the flite control wad) in 6 shot. This was out of the factory full choke. Gun patterned excellent at 40 with this combo.I plan to pattern the high density stuff this year. As far as I am concerned, there is federal premium for 20 ga and then there's everything else. Your patterns may vary, but it's a great place to start.
