I got drawn for LBL hunt,never turkey hunted there and was just wondering is it worth the trip? I will be driving from Knoxville so its a long way for me to go Turkey hunting but wanted to take a trip somewhere this year and I like LBL for deer.

Why would you put in for a hunt and take a spot if you weren't sure it was "worth the trip"? There's no shortage of birds at Lbl but they are some tough customers. Lots of hunters but it's a big place.

If you have deer hunted there you should have seen turkeys......They are evenly distributed throughout the area. Quota hunt this year will be less crowded because they reduced the number of permits and several of the ones that drew a hunt will not show up for various reasons. Gets pretty crowded on the weekends during the open hunt sometimes. If you have a permit, use it because you bumped someone else out of a hunt. :roll:

LBL holds some of the smartest birds around. They have been hunted hard. But if you don't make it down, that's just one less person I have to contend with.
There are no turkeys in this land you speak of. Seek elsewhere gentlemen.
