Turkey Mounts

I don't have one either -- it's pretty steep to get one done. But when I do, I will probably get a hanging dead mount.

Lol. I agree. But I have a buddy that's a taxidermist and I'm hoping he can act quickly and skin it out where I can get the meat

This is what we did with man's double bearded 24# bird.

Half strut gobbling on the limb. With freeze dried real head. Will send pic Monday as it's in my office, but it is my favorite mount and other folks' too.

I have one in full strut. the only way I mount one now is multi beard or big hooks like 1.5 or around that. I like them gobbling. just make sure you take it to a good taxidermist. turkey mounts can look terrible if it is mounted bad that my biggest advice to anyone looking at getting anything mounted. you get what you pay for.

I remember the first bird I killed, scoring wise it was by far the best, but cost alone being newly married stopped me in my tracks, I just do all the fans up and dry them out. If I was to get one done, I think I would go with him strutting on a limb, all puffed up....one of these days, would have to be a special bird.....like the one I shot last year...last day of season, double bearded tom...but was in the middle of PCSing....

Ruger, that is a nice looking mount. Who did it?
The only other place I have seen that done was out in Utah, oddly enough.

No.I talked to him last year and he said he would start working on it again. He was mad because I posted about him on here.We talked and he said he would mount it.doubt that bird will ever be mounted. That's ok.I was mad but told him it's not that big a deal. There are so much more important things than a turkey.guess after 7 years of waiting on it I calmed down.lol :D

My cousin has one, inflight coming off the roost turned sideways from his second story loft over his fireplace. Best looking mount I have ever seen hands down.

If its been 7 years I wouldn't wait for a phone call. Who is this dead beat so we can avoid him?
