Is here and I haven't done the first thing to get ready for it.

Every year by this time I have gotten my vest ready and my decoy bad ready calls tuned up and be out there getting to know where the birds are.

I have been one time listening for birds.

I sure hope I got some birds this year.

I was just telling DeerOps that I needed to be outside shooting, but it is sooo muddy and damp that I am sitting here by the fireplace.

I hope to get my vest ready this week.

I went out this morning and they were gobblin a pretty good bit. It took them awhile because it was so foggy. The hens were very vocal as well. I got out of there pretty quick because I did not want to risk bumping one. I cannot wait.

Are you kidding? I've been busier that a squirrel gathering nuts in the fall!! I have bought new calls on sale, new shotgun shells to try patterning with new chokes, gotten some new camo shirts, waiting to get new boots, got my decoys out and dusted off.

Still have to buy my license. I will be leaving for Texas for work related training next week and be back to hop in bed around midnight the Friday before opening day. Going to get up early if I can and go meet up with a new made friend and get him his first spring gobbler!! Come on you big Thunder Chicken!!

I got a new camo shirt, pants, and face net. Other than that, I'm still ready from last year. I've been out a couple times to listen for them, but didn't heard the first one.

i have been runnin around like a chicken with his head cut off looking and listining for birds but i have been ready since deer season ended
