I didn't know if I would get another chance between now and Saturday morning, so I went through my vest. Need to add some tp and something to drink but this is basically it. There's a few new things and some stuff has been with me a real long time. What's everyone else carrying?

It is quite a bit of stuff. It's not as much as it looks though. I could probably carry most of it on my belt and in the pockets on my cargo pants. I actually still have pockets on my vest with nothing in them. I have more than once though just grabbed my gloves, face mask, shells and a mouth call.

No TP?

One of these days I'm gonna get courageous enough to step off the porch and head for the timber with no more than my gun, one extra shell, and one call (been saying that for years *rolleyes*).

If it ever happens, will likely only be once. A turkeyman gotta have turkeystuff..ya know...just in case.

Slate
Striker
Mouth call
TP
Knife
Zip lock bag
License
Water
Food
Flashlight

Keep scales and ruler in truck.

I'll get mine all together near the end of the week and get a picture posted. I'm still indecisive on what gets to go lol.
I'm also waiting on the mailbox to replace some stuff with

Sister is over with kids, so figured I'd let her post a pic for me. This is going with me to Chuck Swan on Wednesday. Cushion will be worn across back. Bottle of water and snacks will be in back of vest. Case pocket knife in pocket.

My Dad gave me that same vest
I gave it to a buddy several years ago that didn't have one. I'm not sure if he ever used it.

I bought this one and two others in Greenleaf back in the early 90's. I still hunt all three. Extremely lightweight and durable, with just enough room. Only downfall was cushion. I carry an original Super Elite III cushion swung across my back. If your buddy still has that vest, tell 'em I'll give $75 for it, provided it's in decent condition.

Yeah the cushion wasn't great
I've still got it laying around somewhere
I actually messaged him and told him I'd but it back if he still had it. He said he did. I'll hang on to it when I get it since it was my Dad's.

Actually, I did change the knife out because it was too big. As for the gloves, I never said I was using them for field dressing, especially the long ones. They have multiple uses.

You never know when you will need to perform a prostrate exam in the woods.

I'll add tp, water and clif bars. I may carry a box call, trumpet and tube call at some point.
