Looking at buying a new vest looking at OL Toms are pricey just wondering what your All go to vest is or recommend a good one

I looked at them all this year and settled for the cabelas tactical Tatr 2. I love ol tom gear but IMO the vests are too flimsy, it's a thin material. I also liked that the cabelas vests are sized instead of OSFM.

I bought a Cabela's Tactical Tatr kickstand Saturday. I been messing with it for a few days. So far I love it. I have several places where there isn't really any good trees and think the kickstand will come in handy. They ain't cheap ($140) but so far it seems like it'll be worth it.

For a vest cheaper than the Cabela's, I'd recommend the RedHead Striker. It has several pockets. A lot of which are dedicated slate, box, and mouth call pockets. There are a few things I didn't like about it. The striker pocket isn't closed on the bottom. There are just elastic loops with a flap on top. Also the seat isn't much and it stores on the inside of the vest. It is a royal pain to impossible to fasten it back up without taking off the vest. Mine is probably close to ten years old so they may have updated them since I bought mine.

I'm in the same boat. I went to the convention and bass pro and tried several on. After a lot of research though I've decided on the Mossy Oak Elite. For 79 bucks and the thing last people 8+ seasons that's hard to beat. It's not the newest and fanciest design but it is proven which is what I want in the woods.

Tactical tatr 2 take it from someone who thought OK tons were good and they are good but not even in the same ball park as the cabelas. I thought they were extremely hot vest and not near the space or as good as a lay out as the cabelas.
