Turkeys all around me

I was surrounded at daybreak, and managed to miss 2 gobblers, is my place ruined now? One shot I do not understand how I missed and the other was a borderline long shot

Things change as surroundings green up and hens nest. Over the years we have shot several in the same area. Should be fine. I know it makes us (people) to let it rest a short time.

They'll gobble tomorrow and may work, I'd get after them. Don't fret, I'd rather cleanly miss five as wound one. Good luck going forward.

Are you sure they were clean misses? Any feathers where they were standing?

I had one in particular that flew a great distance, but I could tell he was hit so I went that way. Luckily found him stone cold dead in the middle of a big briar bush.
