Looked out the window this morning and a gobbler was running down the hill towards my house with a hen and jake in tow...??? I'm thinking.. what the,,?? aint this backwards..LOL.. well he gets on a flat spot in my yard and the hen just lays or squats down.. I'm thinking he is like my rooster and is fixing to top that ole gal.. oh, no.. he has to do a little strut and blow up and circle around for a minute or so.. the whole time she is just laying there.. i'm thinking .. you better hop on while she is ready... finally after his song and dance he walks over and tops her... the whole time a jake is 5-6 feet away creeping them... finally he get done stands up and starts doing some funny manuvers on her back.. i'm thinking they are hung up like a couple of dogs and I need to run out there and throw some cold water on him... this goes on for a couple of minutes... finally i grab my binos and look.. he is walking around on her back.. must be some sort of after the fact massage.. or he is one that really cares and dont just hop from one turkey to the next..?? LOL
