Turkeys .. lots and lots of turkeys

I had to drive down to Summerville Ga today to get some tires. It was sprinkling rain and the turkeys were out in the fields in full force. Looks like the big winter flocks have broken up down that way.. lots of 8-12 hen flocks with a gobbler or 2 with them all blown up and showing out. I CANT WAIT UNTIL MARCH 31ST!!!!

I also think they are busting up..Have seen several small groups lately. Saw 2 strutters yesterday with about 8 hens.

I saw about 30 right down the road this morning while driving my kids to school.

I saw the exact opposite up in Mcminn county about 4 days ago... I saw a huge flock that looked to have about 50+ in it.. probably 60 or 70 miles apart..

been seeing a lot of birds lately around where I live, unfortunately no hunting spots around here for me (yet), they love to come out in the fields when it rains. One time I even saw them in a friggin bush, not below it, but actually sitting in the bush on the branches along a fence line. I guess maybe they were eating berries or something.

Hen flocks are starting to break up a bit. That's all I can tell so far.

Saw maybe 75 birds together yesterday,all Hens,Same place I seen the 21 gobblers ....So it will not be long until their Paths cross and Romance will be echoing through the morning air.
