Took my lil cousin this morning. Heard few different birds but they only gobbled a couple times from the roost and none after flydown. We were within 80yds of a big flock around 8:30am. They were feeding in a field, prob 25 to 30 birds in all with 3 toms and a few jakes. They didn't strut, gobble anything. I tried calling softly and got no response from hens or gobblers. Tried calling aggressively with the same results. Hopefully they will bust up and start acting normal by opening day. Also around dinner we rode by a cornfield about a mile from where we hunted and it had easily over 100 turkeys in it.

Same in western middle tennesse. Had birds gobblen early then nothing. Yesterday evening I saw 9 longbeards running together with no hens or jakes. Never saw that this time of the year.
