I stopped waiting for a buck yesterday because I wanted some venison. Got two mamas. Even though they were both mamas they are small deer. I'm sure they will taste good. I watched does from 15 min after I got to my ladder stand in darkness to 10:30 am when I shot the second one. The first one was 30 minutes earlier. I shot them both from above down through in front of the shoulder and out the chest neither ran more than 40 yards. Both bolts went clean threw.
My brother took them to a new processor in Woodbury.

Good job brother, if you don't mind me asking what setup are you shooting? I always am curious to what other people shoot and their opinion on the equipment. And since you said bolts I am assuming you are a crossbow hunter, I use a crossbow also.
Center Point Sniper 370 FPS. Not the fastest but it does a great job. I've had it for about 4 years. The scope fogged up a couple weeks ago preventing me from getting a doe. I thought it was misted up but wouldn't wipe off. I couldn't see a thing. Wasted a hunt 🤷‍♂️. Stuff happens. Bought a new scope from Amazon and at 20 and 50 it's deadly. I like it.
