Today I picked up my 2nd Remington 582 in as many weeks. Not only are they new to me but I believe both to be new and never previously fired. I can't find any evidence that either one was ever even loaded and by this I mean the end of the yellow plunger in the magazine tube doesn't have any 'lead staining' from pushing on a bullet. The cartridge lifter mechanism in both is spotless with no signs of wear. The chambers and bores are spotless. All of the blued steel and the beech stocks are perfect without a single blemish. I feel like a really lucky blind hog
