TWRA has given up on claiming it can access private property without a warrant. Here's what seems to have happened:

As they should have. To me where the TWRA is dead wrong, is they at least need probably cause that an illegal activity is taking place. At least someone should be reporting, calling in, telling them, etc. that a law or laws are being broken.

In the TWRA's own words, the TWRA stated that all they had to think was that hunting was taking place, no other reason and they could basically do anything they wanted, which is WRONG. They should have to, at a minimum, have probable cause.

What about in your vehicle since that is considered personal property. I've been told that they are no longer even worried about poaching. To many ways they can get sued now. Unless of course they happen to be there when it happens. Which is almost zero percent of the time. So if it's happening around you and your deer are being decimated by poachers good luck.

The local wardens (TWRA) came across my property and then my neighbors, a few years back, looking for someone or something. They went to my neighbors house and gave him, what I can figure, the 5th degree. I don't know what they asked him, because I wasn't there, but he called me when they left. He asked me why they were on his property asking questions. I told him that I would find out and let him know. I happened to pass them one day near the river and inquired about what they were doing on my land. They both said that it wasn't them, after looking at each other. You let that kid across the fence he may get on your roof.

Regardless of my feelings on the case, I'm happy they honored the court decision. IMO the supreme court(s) exist just for that type of case to keep other branches of government in check, especially when it pertains to individual freedoms. They decided and TWRA accepted so it worked the way it's supposed to.

I can attest that's how it is. We never had problems with road hunters until the last couple of years. If you get them you have to fight them yourself. That's what I do. I don't call the game warden anymore. It's so bad here at night withe the thermals I'm no longer a hunter. If that's what they're are going to turn it into they can have it. We went from having some folks hunt and hosting public dove hunts to damn near anti hunter. Lol
