UGAs defense has given up 47 points over 5 games. 3 points over the last 2, and 17 over the last 3. IIRC, 2 of those touch downs this season were against our third string in mop up duty. That is not just against the Sisters of the Poor, either.

I'm not saying that the UT game wasn't a blowout, but the ball literally bounced UGAs way several times, and the UT defense had to protect a short field way too many times due to an ineffective offense, below average special teams play, and stifling UGA D. I really think that UT played better D than MSU, and will possibly win a few games for UT this season

They're not Alabama good, and the powers that be won't let in 2 SEC teams when UGA gets beat in the SECCG. Of course, UGA still has to beat Vandy, UK, UF, and Auburn. Don't forget about GT, either , but that has no bearing on the SEC

No excuses for Tn but they should have had 2 interceptions in the first quarter. It would not have changed the outcome but might have shaken up the qb a little. We don't have playmakers .... with the exception of 3-4 players

UGA defense has some playmakers, no doubt. The biggest thing I saw with them though was their ability to rotate so many guys in and out. Fresh guys does wonders for a defense. Kudos to Kirby for knowing this and for having the players developed to be able to do this. This is rocket science to some coaches apparently.

An offense that can stay on the field also helps tremendously as well.

Tennessee has no offense so it s very difficult to determine if Georgia has a great defense. Time will tell. They did look good but I really don't think they will be that effective against a top tier team.

Ga. can play with Bama.
They are loaded with talent. If they stay healthy it will be interesting.
The Bulldogs will win a lot of games this year.

While I agree we have loads of talent on both sides of the ball and I agree that we will have a great regular season record, we still have a long way to go to compete with Bama. Most of that improvement needs to happen with the simple execution of the play without sloppiness. We are improving every week and have a lot of time before a potential SEC matchup with the Tide. Coach Smart told us yesterday after the game as he was getting on the bus back home,"we have a lot of work to do"...and I agree. We have to execute better than we have thus far. With that being said we have the talent and the coaching to make this the best season Dawgs fans have seen in a long long time...

I've not heard any "we want Bama" comments. My comments were quite to the contrary. I think that Bama would beat UGA, but I think that UGA could make it more of a game than most.
