Well, it was about 3:15 am and my cell phone started ringing off the hook. Of course, it was a collect call from Uncle Smokey and he was all fired up and you could hear the rigs in the background at the local truck stop. He told me that he got all the information that he needed to predict this game from the local Thrifty Nickel. He told me that no one could be more "fired up" except maybe the Gator's backup QB..... :rotf:
It was hard to hear Uncle Smokey from all the background noise coming from the Cracker Swamp Road, Truck Stop. Finally he calmed down and started going over all the listings that he read in the Thrifty Nickel, that involved Gator gear for sale...... He told me that he came across an old Kerwin Bell Jersey that was for sale at a good price ($5.00). After buying the ole faded jersey and getting the price down to $2.00. He realized that it was a sign...... You could still make out the number on the Jersey and it was the number "12". Uncle Smokey told me that was his sign that the Gators would keep the streak alive and win # 12 in Neyland Stadium.
He told me that this game would come down to UF's backup QB making big plays with his arm against UT's DBs. Also Uncle Smokey was quick to point out that UF's starting QB for this game also would be wearing # 12. He mentioned that either Powell or Callaway were going to take one to the house on a pass over the top. He also told me after buying a 12 pack from the local drive thru, the answer came to him...... I could hear him chug down his drink before he spit it out, "Gators win by 12"..... :tu:
He told me that the trap was in the bed of his 1972 truck and ready to make a 6 man hot tub.... All he had left to do was to get his cut off jeans cleaned up for the celebration... :super:
