Like clock work he called me collect about 1:00 am after possum hunting all day on the edge of Ole Long Swamp with his bluetick hound. Of course, before he got to his prediction, he wanted to tell me all about his Bigfoot sighting yesterday evening. He told me that he caught a glimpse of Bigfoot while taking his weekly bath in the swamp behind his house. I asked him how much had he drank at that time and he told me that he was perfectly sober but had 18 natty lights up to that point.
After a lot of mumbling, he finally got focused on the ball game. He kept telling me that Herschel Walker might have a big game and I had to explain to him, that Walker hasn't played since the 80s at Georgia. Finally he got re-focused and started talking about how Chubb beat Walker's 100 yard games and could be the key for Georgia this weekend. Also he mention that it might depend on what QB shows up for Georgia this weekend. He told me that Georgia's QB is up and down like a bed bug in Spring and hasn't been consistent.
He told me that it would also depend on UT shaking off the early fleas and playing loose. He told me that Butch and company might have a "punching" chance but needed to get the WRs more involved..... :rotf: :rotf: He also told me that Dobbs and Hurd needed to be able to root out a running game to control the clock.... ray:
I could hear Uncle Smoky winding down for the night and he kept telling me that UT burned him on his pick last weekend and that he was a little gun shy of the Vols. I told Uncle Smoky that the Gators needed the Vols to win so that the Gators could control the SEC East but I don't think that he was paying me much attention at this point. He finally spit it out and gave me the pick.... Dawgs win by 3......
