I had Vapor Trail strings put on today with the new cam and everything is working great. I don't have a chrono, but I for sure didn't lose any speed with the new strings. Everything was shooting high so I had to readjust my sight. I might have picked up some speed. So far no peep rotation. Again, Rick at Dickson Sportsman does an excellent job and was able to work me in with the mob of incoming turkey hunters.

glad you got it all set and ready to go. Those strings look like the Dakota Stong Mt strings that come on the bow. Hope it all works out for ya bud

I got the color combo off Vapor Trail's website. The black and bronze string color combo is almost an exact match to the Dakota Strings. I thought the the stock strings looked pretty good.

I have a golf tournament Saturday, so I won't turkey hunt till maybe the following weekend.

I put mine in the shop yesterday...checked out the replacement cam and it is black also. I really dont understand why they wouldnt send you a bronze one cause they know your roller cam is bronze. But they did replace cables..and fix it for free.

Mine is a very dark bronze that does not match up with the lighter copper colored roller cam. I also have noticed there is a slight increase in valley at full draw. The original cam wanted to jump forward at full draw.

If there is just a little more valley, I like that...I noticed that it did try to jump forward. It did it to me a few times when i was shooting in a 3d tournament in arkansas. Makes you feel stupid..LOL

I posted the same pics on Archery Talk and another person said it adds "character". I wonder if there is any speed loss with the new cam? It doesn't seem like it.

yeah i was wondering the same thing...cause there is clearly a difference in the cams. I compared them ...groves, the way the string goes in it and everything. I wondered the same exact thing.

hey bud, i was just gonna put you an update on here. After I had my new black cam put on, I took it out and lined everything back up and just put it away in the closet. Give it a little rest. Well, I got it out yesterday to check everything, and wax the string. I noticed my BLACK cam had turned colors. It now matches the top cam quite well. Its odd but I swear it has changed colors, not that I am complaining. The only other problem is, my peep keeps twisting now when I draw back. Its starting to get on my nerves!!!!!!!!
