Use Decoys in Fall?

This fall will be my very 1st time ever turkey hunting. Unfortunately, most of the folks I know only spring hunt, therefore I'm faced with the challenge of learning on my own. Most of the stuff I hear and read is to bust 'em up and call 'em back during the fall.

My question is...are decoys beneficial during the fall? If so, I'll go ahead and purchase a set very soon. If not, I'll wait until closer to spring before spending more cash.

I never use decoys in the fall, and ive always had good luck but it certainly wouldnt hurt. If you bust em up and then set up shop, you might be in luck.

I guess I'll pass on purchasing decoys this Fall. A decoy will just end up being one more thing for me to deal with during my 1st turkey hunt.
