Last Friday my wife and I carried supplies to Ashe county NC flood victims.. we left Giles county and spent the night in Bristol.. counted 58 deer on road that had been hit by vehicles.. the most concentrated area of dead deer was in Bristol.. there seemed to be a dead deer every 25'.. I'm not sure if there's an extremely high population of deer there, or if the state road crew just won't pick them up.. lol
Oddly enough.. I didn't see a single live deer on the trip over.. ( roughly 7.5 hours) and only 3 on the trip back..

If you seen more there on the road than in your home county of Giles then they have to have a high density of deer .
