Gator fans, I haven't been hiding out after (yet another) a loss to FL. I put in 35 hours of work from Friday evening through Midnight Sunday. Have only seen one play on highlight film, so I can only go by what I've heard from others;
From what I gather, it was two bad teams playing poorly yet fighting like hell for a W. UT had opportunity in the first half to turn the game into a possible blowout, but couldn't capitalize on it...honestly, it sounds like they failed miserably when opportunity knocked. Tennessee shot themselves in the foot and lost the game.
Looks like both teams have some future 1st round draft picks, but neither does any one thing extremely well as a team. I give credit to Florida...They did a better job of adjusting and capitalizing on opportunity when it mattered most.
I miss the 90s and early 2000s when the UT/FL game was always a critical factor in determining the SEC champion.
