Strength vs. weakness. UGA's strength is their run game. They have 4 RBs who could start anywhere. UT's biggest weakness is defending the run game.

I hope I'm wrong, but Saturday is probably gonna be a long day for my Vols.

I agree that TN will most likely lose....BUT..... they always seem to compete in the bigger games and never seem that far out of it. I think GA wins by 2 tds at max and likely less.

X2. It will likely be closer than most think.

Go DAWGS!

UGA defensive speed worries me as much as their run game. We could get controlled on both sides of the ball.

.

Been that way for YEARS.
They couldn't tackle my sister.
Granted she is a tough ole hag but still.... :D

If Chaney sticks to the ground and pound, it will be long day for TN. However, that isn't is MO.

TN will have to throw the ball to have any success. Won't happen 37-3 GA!

We'll have a lucky pick, which should be a pick 6, but something happens to cause our guy to go down at the 1 inch line. In perfect Butch fashion, 4 plays later we will be attempting a 49 yd FG that thuds on the crossbar, sits there for what seems like eternity, then falls over. I forgot to mention that the score will be 37-0 at that point, and the game will be about to end when Butch calls a TO running all over the field to gets a refs attn (Stoops should learn from that btw) to try to avoid the shutout :D !

TN is really backed into a corner, could this be the sellout game by all players at TN and TN wins 13-10? GA running game I think will have a lot to say about that. If I was GA I would be pounding those stellar running backs every play and maybe a pass here and there to keep defense holding. TN defensive line will not contain, cause the offense will probably be mostly 3 and out. I will be doing backflips if TN pulls this off,, ugly/pretty/ or happy birthday TN win. I will take it, rest of season be glad for 2 more wins.

UT - UGA Boils Down to This?

There's a high % that them Dawgs win this game. What this game really boils down to can CBJ keep it close and save his job during the season. He will be facing stress this game like no other game. I'm not for coaches getting run off during the season but that's what he's fighting for with a bye week coming.

Do you really think UT will move on him?

I think they will. I would be surprised if administration makes a move in the next two weeks, but I believe this game is a must win for Butch.

To be honest, yes and this is why.... Just my opinion.

If UT gets blown out this game. The fans aren't going to show up for the games and force the AD's hand. The bye week will only magnify the lost and give the fans / media time to flame The fire. The same thing happened to Fulmer near the end of his career when fans stop coming to the games. That's pretty telling, considering that Fulmer was homegrown and won a national championship.

Also if UT loses to GA with Bama still on the schedule. That would probably mean both GA and FL would have to lose 4 SEC games for UT to win the East. At that point the best case scenario would be 8-4 and that alone could put him on the bubble.

I think that CBJ has done a lot of positive things for the program but it's his 5th year and a lost this Saturday would mean that he never got them to the next level. A win could be a game changer and give CBJ some breathing room. Will be interesting and I'm rooting for the Vols Saturday to beat Georgia.

I don't think this is a "must win" game for Butch. I do think it's a "must be competitive with a chance to win late" game for Butch.
If he is going to be successful in the SEC, he should not be getting blown out by anyone. Not even by Alabama. Especially in year 5. And even more so at home. A poor performance against UGA and he would have to win out to keep his job.

And most of your buddies on Volnation :D !

While I think it would be better in the long run to dismiss him if we lose big, I have a hard time seeing TN doing it. With the bye week the next week, it would be a good time to do it if needed.

A competitive game just prolongs the inevitable until the end of the season. Nothing short of winning the rest of them (except Bama) will save him.

I doubt it since I get this message now:

Here's how you know when a coach is in trouble. The Umass game, gave a hint since there were probably only 85,000 fans in the stadium to start the game and approximately 50,000 at the end of the game. I expect a good crowd for the GA game because this will be the deciding game. If UT loses big then you could probably expect an avg. of 75,000 the rest of the way. Also the ticket prices have dropped now for the GA game, another hint.
