Vandy recruiting!!

They actually did get a couple good (for vandy) commits. Ones a big rb that's a white boy, and some corner from florida. I'm hoping for an sec win this season maybe two!! Haha. :tu:

in their defense, the talent pool is pretty slim when you have to have a 26 on your act

Perhaps they can enter a spelling bee.
I work with a guy that played football there and i promise he will not win a spelling bee. We joke all the time at his lack of spelling skills and say he's proof you don't have to be Einstein to get in there if you're an athlete. Not saying there aren't some brainiacs there that are athletes but not all. I'll have to ask him what he made in his ACT or SAT.

Well,I sure hope one of the wins will be against Florida

Franklin managed to get some top talent there even with it being hard to get in, Mason can't recruit, so they will never have the players they need to play like Stanford, they need to to go get a coach that runs and up tempo offense and become like a TCU or Texas Tech, that's their only hope.

Sure do miss Franklin.

he was a great recruiter that could bring a lot of talent to a high academic small private school. but, I felt he did not instill proper guidance or seek high moral compass students. the vandy rape occurred on his watch and one ladies life will forever be scarred. he knew about it and he recruited those monsters who did it. I would rather lose every game with a good group of kids, than win national championships with thugs. character counts to me, and while a great coach I don't think he set the right atmosphere. good riddance to him.

Very true. I never really liked him as a person but I sure miss the days of winning football games. Maybe those days will return. Even if they don't I will still pull for my DORES!

I may be wrong, but I don't see them getting back to where they were under Franklin with Mason as coach. He has that deer in the headlights look

You are not wrong at all. It was painful to watch him coach last year and his interviews were equally painful. Unless this new OC does a great job and mason gets into his comfort zone as dc, vandy will see another year like last season. I hate it but that's the card vandy fans have been dealt for years.
